What We Do

Fundación Niño Jesús, we believe that every older adult deserves to age with dignity, purpose, and meaning. That is why we have developed our own comprehensive intervention model, built on years of experience working with vulnerable older adults and in partnership with local government agencies through our program Founders of Life

Our model recognizes older adults as active participants in society and as individuals with rights, life stories, talents, and knowledge that enrich their families and society. We promote active and healthy aging through a biopsychosocial approach that strengthens personal development, preventive care, and the strengthening of creative and productive abilities.

Through meaningful community-based programs and activities, we encourage autonomy, participation, self-expression, and leadership, empowering older adults to redefine and strengthen their role within the community.

Today, our program Founders of Life serves 215 older adults at our center and 545 older adults overall through our different initiatives.

Care Center

We serve the communities of Engativá (Main Center: 64C Street #123-23, Engativá Pueblo), Suba, Soacha, and Usaquén.

You can make a meaningful difference by shopping through our online store. Every purchase supports our social mission, as all proceeds are reinvested into the development of our community programs.

One of our featured products is the Solidarity Condolence Card, specially created to support older adults in our program Founders of life. What Our Participants Say

I have taken on the role of an older adult again within my family, especially with my grandson. He really values me and says, “Grandma, I’m going to do this,” or “Grandma, let’s do this.” But it’s also with the rest of my family, although especially with my grandson

I learned about physical and mental stimulation, and how to feel supported and accompanied. I enjoy sharing time with people my age, and I feel that at the Foundation I am treated very well and that they care about me.

I also learned from the guidebook how to take care of myself and my family, and which foods we should consume.
